In 2009, Steve decided to learn to fly - at least to learn to fly model aeroplanes.

He joined the Chelmsford Model Flying Association, of which he remains a member. He passed his A-Certificate in October 2009, and continues to fly a variety of planes whenever he gets the chance - which is not that often with other things going on and with the unreliable (windy and wet) weather.

As well as flying at "The Field" in Chelmsford, Steve has flown electric planes while in Southwold.

Most years, Steve has attending Wings & Wheels, an anual weekend event held at North Weald Airfield in July - which is agood opporunity to buy more planes and to watch others flying.
